Reach PrintCost — contest a number, correct an article, or request a feature. What to include so your report lands as a fix, not a conversation.

Everything routes to one inbox, read by a person: hello@nxtolerance.com.

Here’s how to make your mail land as a fix rather than a thread.

Disputing the math

This is the mail we want most. If a result on the calculator contradicts arithmetic you can reproduce, send the full input set — cartridge price, rated yield, coverage %, ream price, duplex on/off, pages/month — plus the output you saw and the output you expected. The math is simple enough that a disagreement has a definite answer, and we’re happy to be on either side of it.

Two quick checks that save a round-trip:

  • Coverage is per channel, not total. 20% coverage means each printed channel covers 20% of the page — a full-color page at 20% is 80% total inked area. If your number looks ~3–4× off for color pages, this is usually why.
  • Yields are ISO-rated at 5%. The box yield isn’t a promise at your coverage — the yield explainer covers the rescaled version the calculator uses.

Correcting an article

Each guide — ISO yield, benchmarks, inkjet vs laser, duplex, filament, third-party ink — was written against checkable public figures, and both prices and standards drift. Quote the sentence, give the correction, cite a source. Street-price benchmark ranges especially: if cartridge prices have moved since publication, that’s a five-minute fix we’re glad to make.

Requesting a feature

Useful inputs for a feature request: the print job you couldn’t model (“I need CPP for a roll-label printer” teaches more than “add more printers”), and the numbers you’d put in if the field existed. Features land when they serve more than one desk and can be stated in defensible math.

What this inbox can’t do

  • Printer tech support — driver installs, paper jams, error codes. The manufacturer’s support channel is genuinely the right one; we can’t touch your hardware from here.
  • Shopping advice for specific models — “should I buy printer X or printer Y” is answerable by running both through the calculator; we don’t keep a review bench.
  • Cartridge sourcing — we don’t sell, stock or affiliate-link consumables, and can’t tell you where your specific cartridge is cheapest this week.

Response expectations

No tickets, no autoresponder, no SLA. A clear reproduction or correction gets an answer within days; suggestions are always read and sometimes answered slowly. Wrong numbers outrank everything else in the queue.
